MacPherson Badminton Open 2011

Dear Participants of MacPherson Badminton Open 2011

Important Note(s):

Players for Men's Single (MS) and Men's Doubles (MD) who are playing Qualifying Round, the scoring system have been changed due to overwhelming of respond and time constrain. We will be playing one game of 30 points instead of best of 3 sets, 21 points system. After the qualifying round, it will be changed back to normal scoring system (21 points best of 3).

Players are to bring their NRIC for verification and players are required to arrive at the badminton court half an hour earlier for registration.

3 on 3 Basketball (Under 16 boys and Open (Men) category),

Badminton Tournament (Men Single, Men's Double, Mix Double and Veteran Double)

*This year we have new category for Badminton Tournament called "Veteran Double ( >45 years old)."

So, do remember to bring your supporters to cheer to you!

One Community Walk (MacPherson Estate)

"The One Community Walk is an unprecedented natioan-wide mass walking event engaging more than 80,000 residents from all the constituencies in Singapore. This event is the largest synchronized mass walking event in Singapore to date and one of the biggest displays by the community in support of the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games." -People Association-

Hmm. blog abt our meeting first ba.

on 13th April (Monday), we have meeting. Alot of committees not in. Jin Hao(just entered NS), Min Zhe, Jimmy(away for 6mths, I guess) & James were in NS. Josh went overseas. Aysha busy. Suzie & Lynn busy at work. Hahas! Soon Richard is going into NS. Then 5 NS boys! HAHAS!

Yesterday seriously alot of new observers. Hahas! HELLO NEW PEERS! WELCOME ON BOARD!!! How you all find meeting? Mmm... boring & sianed!?!?! HAHAS! Understand how you all feel. That's what I came thru. Please don't feel pressurize by anythingy, yea? No worries, feel free & relax, yea? ((:

Okays, back about meeting. Meeting went on smoothly as it was but when it comes to SPORTS & RECREATION SECRETARY'S REPORT. During this report, Zul mentioned that we had to change our badminton tournament date (30/5 & 31/5) as that day will be CC event. It just created unhappiness feedback as we booked the court in 1 month advance for the tournament.

Well, we were quite affected with it. But no choice but continue our meeting. We already confirmed our 1-star kayaking course. Hmm. Anyone interested? Hmm. I will blog later. HAAHAS! And soon this meeting was the last 2nd meeting. So Bi-General Meeting* (BGM) is coming soon!! And Keith was appointed to be the organising chairman! HAHAS! Congrates Keith! HAHAS! And lastly, as usual our last meeting will be having BBQ section. So this year is no longer Suzie in -charge! Hahas. We welcome RICHARD to come back to our YEC. And of cause he is heading it! HAHAS.
Sorry if you all dont understand me. But this is what I can rmb after few days.

*BGM means every two years, we will dissolve our committee and set up new committees to serve for the new 2 years.And every BGM, all YECs have to have a sub-group to organise an event/activities for it. Got me? Hee((:
